What the record must show
Targeted surveys record accessible geometry, interfaces and visible conditions against the location, date and current project information, with concealed or unverified areas stated.
ITPs identify substrates, support positions, fixings, membranes, insulation, cavity barriers, interfaces and finishes that require records, witness points or hold points.
Site inspections compare sampled work with the relevant drawing, specification, product requirement and acceptance criterion, with location and revision recorded.
Structured records show what was observed, what remains concealed or unverified, and which items need correction, design review or further evidence.
Departures are assessed through the correct technical route before acceptance. ALM records design implications without replacing the Principal Contractor's health-and-safety or quality-management duties.
